Our Board of Directors provides the leadership and vision that keeps Dignity Exchange moving forward. Their commitment to serving our community helps us expand our impact, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that essential hygiene and health care items remain accessible to those who need them most.

Board Chair
Brittany Shoemaker
Brittany is a small business owner, mother of four, and dedicated community leader. As the owner of The Calvary Cleaning Company, she has built her business on the values of integrity, compassion, and service.

Since 2017, Brittany has been an integral part of Dignity Exchange, investing her time, talents, and leadership as she helped grow the organization from the ground up. As one of its earliest volunteers, she faithfully served the mission before stepping into the role of Board Chair in 2024. Her leadership has helped guide the organization's growth and its commitment to providing essential hygiene and health care items with compassion and dignity to individuals and families throughout Greene County.

Having experienced the challenges of being a young single mother, Brittany is passionate about supporting others through difficult seasons with understanding and hope. She believes strong communities are built through kindness, service, and connection, and she is committed to ensuring every person is treated with dignity and respect.
Board Co-Chair
Paula Lewis
Paula has been a dedicated supporter of Dignity Exchange since 2018, long before she officially joined the volunteer team.
Alongside her daughters, she faithfully donated period products, created beautiful raffle baskets, and participated in fundraising events, always looking for ways to strengthen the organization's mission. In 2021, she became an active volunteer, and in January 2026, she was appointed Co-Chair of the Board of Directors.

With more than 20 years of experience as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) and now serving as Property Manager and Community Administrator at Stone Manor, Paula has devoted her career to caring for others. Her compassion, empathy, and servant's heart are evident in everything she does.
​
Paula is known for her kindness, unwavering support, and ability to make others feel valued. Whether serving clients, encouraging volunteers, or helping guide the organization, she leads with grace, integrity, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Her journey from faithful supporter to board leader reflects her deep commitment to the mission of Dignity Exchange and her belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Secretary
Micael Moon
Sometimes, one small act can change countless lives.
In July 2017, shared a YouTube video on Facebook about the challenges homeless women face managing their periods. When her mother, Lisa Jordan, watched it, she felt called to act. That moment sparked the creation of Providing for Women, now known as Dignity Exchange, making Micaela part of the organization's story from the very beginning.

As Secretary of the Board of Directors, Micaela brings compassion, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the mission. A manager at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Xenia and a youth leader at her church, she is known for her strong work ethic, honesty, and servant's heart.
​
Life's challenges have shaped Micaela into a compassionate listener who leads with empathy and genuinely cares for others. Alongside her two sisters, she has been a constant source of support for Dignity Exchange, helping build an organization that restores dignity and hope to individuals and families throughout Greene County.
​
Her quiet leadership, commitment to service, and caring spirit continue to inspire those around her and strengthen the mission she helped set in motion.
Treasurer
Gail Matson
Gail brings decades of nonprofit leadership, financial stewardship, and grant development experience to Dignity Exchange.
As Treasurer of the Board of Directors, she is passionate about ensuring the organization has the resources needed to grow its mission and serve more individuals and families throughout Greene County.
Formerly the Executive Director of the Greene County FISH Pantry, Gail dedicated years to helping expand food assistance programs and strengthening community partnerships. She is also the founder of Open the Door Grant Writing, where she helps nonprofit organizations secure funding and build long-term sustainability through successful grant writing and strategic planning.
​
Known for her determination, positive outlook, and "can-do" attitude, Gail is always looking for the next opportunity to make a greater impact. Her passion for serving others, combined with her expertise in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, has made her an invaluable member of the Dignity Exchange team.
​
Gail believes that when organizations work together and invest in their communities, lives are changed and hope grows.
Board Member
Amy Honeycutt
Amy has been an integral part of Dignity Exchange since joining the organization as a volunteer in August 2019. Alongside her husband, Dave, she has dedicated countless hours to helping grow the organization and faithfully serving wherever there is a need. Her willingness to step in, no matter how busy life becomes, has made her an invaluable member of the Dignity Exchange family.
​
In 2024, Amy joined the Board of Directors, bringing both her servant's heart and professional expertise as an HR Manager with Walmart. Her leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to teamwork help strengthen the organization's mission and day-to-day operations.
​
Amy believes in leading through service. Whether organizing projects, supporting events, or lending a helping hand after a long workday, she consistently demonstrates compassion, reliability, and dedication to those we serve.
When she's not volunteering, Amy enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and making memories with her husband, Dave, while fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Her generous spirit, unwavering commitment, and genuine care for others continue to make a lasting impact on Dignity Exchange and the community we proudly serve.
Board Member
Ray Hartley
Ray has been part of the Dignity Exchange journey since the very beginning, serving as one of the organization's first volunteers in 2017. Her years of faithful service and dedication led to her appointment to the Board of Directors in January 2026.
​
A retiree and owner of Sister Pigs Sweets, Ray is known for her signature brownies topped with homemade peanut butter fudge. She brings a servant's heart, unwavering faith, and a joyful spirit to everything she does.
Ray is passionate about helping others and believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Whether supporting events, encouraging volunteers, or lending a helping hand, she is always ready to serve with kindness and a smile.
Inspired by her favorite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11, Ray enjoys baking, sewing, quilting, spending time with family and friends, and—her favorite pastime—"chitchatting" with people.

Her favorite saying says it best: "I love what we are doing, and I love people."

Donna Oakes
Donna joined the Dignity Exchange Board of Directors in 2026, bringing with her a heart for service, a wealth of nonprofit experience, and a wonderful sense of humor that brightens every room. While she enjoys working behind the scenes, Donna plays an important role in helping keep the organization organized, focused, and moving forward.

As co-owner and treasurer of Open the Door Grant Writing and former treasurer of the Greene County FISH Pantry, Donna offers valuable expertise in nonprofit operations, financial stewardship, and donor management. She believes everyone deserves access to basic hygiene essentials and is passionate about supporting Dignity Exchange's mission of restoring dignity through compassionate service.

When she's not volunteering, Donna enjoys crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Known for her caring heart, positive attitude, and contagious laughter, Donna reminds us that even the work done behind the scenes can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Volunteer Leader
Laylah Jordan
Laylah has been part of the Dignity Exchange story since the very beginning. She began volunteering at just 10 years old and has grown alongside the organization, becoming one of its most dedicated and dependable volunteers.
​
Over the years, Laylah has done it all—organizing and counting inventory, unloading donation pallets, delivering hygiene products, creating flyers, preparing client orders, cleaning, and supporting countless community events. She has a remarkable ability to see what needs to be done before anyone asks and quietly steps in to make it happen.
​
Known for her kindness, compassion, and strong work ethic, Laylah leads by example. Her willingness to serve, take initiative, and care deeply for others embodies the mission and values of Dignity Exchange.
​
Laylah is currently entering her sophomore year at Northern Kentucky University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She hopes to become a forensic specialist, combining her passion for helping others with a career in justice and public service.
​
Laylah's dedication, leadership, and servant's heart have helped shape Dignity Exchange into the organization it is today.
